Whiskey Wednesday for SFPC community with a talk by Iris Curshing. The evening will be followed by presentations of SFPC Fall 2015 alumni about what they have been working over the winter. Show and tell, snacks and drinks. BYOB! Bring your friends.

Special guest:

Iris Cushing is the author of Wyoming (Furniture Press Books, 2014). She has been a writer-in-residence at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, her former home. Iris has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and her poems have appeared in the Boston Review and the Academy of American Poets Poem-A-Day series. With Elizabeth Clark Wessel, she edits Argos Books, an independent poetry press. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Columbia University, and currently studies mysticism and counterculture in postwar American poetry in the English Ph.D. program at the CUNY Graduate Center.
