Intro to the London Startup Scene

location AlphaSights | 6:30 PM-7:30 PM Thursday 26 March 2015 (GMT)

General Assembly x AlphaSights

Looking to start something on your own, but not quite sure where to start? General Assembly are coming to AlphaSights to tell us more about the exciting London startup scene. To help us get familiarised with the world of entrepreneurship in the world's greatest city, they will be explaining which events to attend, the people to know, and the current funding landscape. They will explain how key players such as Tech City, Campus London, Escape the City, Seedcamp, and Index Ventures can help us bridge the gap between dreaming and doing.

Established in early 2011 as an innovative community in New York City for entrepreneurs and startup companies, General Assembly is an educational institution that transforms thinkers into creators through education in technology, business and design at fourteen campuses across four continents.

The presenter will be Liz Elfman, who heads up Marketing & Partnerships at GA London. She has an MA from King's College London and a BA from Georgetown University.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided, please arrive by 18:20 to take a seat, and feel free to stick around for a drink afterwards!
