Back on the couch with the B Corp founders

So the B Corp movement launched in the UK September as planned and there are 80 certified B Corps across the country. Their vision: to redefine success in business. What does that mean, how do they do plan to do that? What are they building – a movement? A certification process? An alternative economic system?

Come along to hear B Lab founders Andrew Kassoy, Bart Houlahan and Jay Coen Gilbert having an intimate chat, guided by our critical friend, Nick Temple, Deputy CEO of Social Enterprise UK.

Expect questions such as:

  • Do B Corps really measure what matters?
  • Do they make a difference?
  • Can this US concept transfer well to the UK and globally?
  • Why did they start it and where does it end?
  • And of course, is it hype or the real thing?

To spice up the discussion, Nick will be questioning Jay, Bart and Andrew on what social enterprises and B Corps have in common and what distinguishes them from each other. Do we need both here in the UK?

Nick will be leaning on you all to help fuel the debate - so come prepared and come on down to the Old Fire Station at 11:30am on 13th April to help shape the session. From 12:30pm-1:00pm, members of the B corp community will be around to continue the conversation.
