Christian Filmmakers Collective #03

location Evangelical Alliance | 7 PM-9 PM Thursday 18 October 2018 (GMT)

You're invited to an evening with Vanessa Bailey hearing about her work as a Christian who's an actor, director and producer making short films

Vanessa has experience raising funds, finding crew & cast, writing, and acting in her award winning short film, Seeing Him. Her most recent film she directed is called Bus Stop, was shot over the summer and is currently in the edit stage. Vanessa will be sharing with us some of her experiences, things she’s learnt on the way and chatting about how her faith impacts her work and vice versa.

During the evening we’ll also have some time to network whilst enjoying some drinks and cake. And we'll hear from one other person from the collective (TBC) about their projects they're involved in.

Here's the plan for the evening

7-7:15pm Drinks and cake.

7:15-7:30pm Joe Cook from UCCF will be sharing about his work on a series of videos for the Uncover Mark material. We’ll then spend a few minutes praying for his work, and this resource that is starting to be used in universities this academic year.

7:30-8:20pm We’ll watch some of Vanessa’s work and hear from her about her films and career.

8:20-8:40pm Time for questions with Vanessa and discussion.

8:40-9:00pm A chance to chat and network with others there.

We'll be meeting in the offices of the Evangelical Alliance which is a short walk from Kings Cross tube station. Please feel free to extend this invite to other Christians involved in film and video production.
