Come discuss Content Management Systems over pizza & drinks

Did you know that there are over 300 different Content Management Systems in use in 2016? While free and open source CMSes such as WordPress and Drupal remain extremely popular, a host of alternative solutions are re-inventing content management paradigms and making the limitations of the incumbent leaders very apparent. Quite an exciting time to be involved with CMSes.

If you work with content online (as an editor, content manager, publisher, etc.), or build systems for content (as a designer, developer, web admin, etc.), please join us for a charcha (discussion) on CMSes on 20th August (Saturday), 3pm–6pm.

What to expect

We want to share knowledge & experience, raise questions, and answer them. While we expect the conversation to flow organically, we’ll try and focus on these:

  • What’s great about the CMS you use?
  • What’s lacking in the CMS you use?
  • Your questions on CMS or content management.
  • New ideas and suggestions.

This event is not specific to any particular CMS, so feel free to join no matter whichever is your favourite. If you’re creating one yourself, we’d love to hear about that. And if you’re on a hunt, perhaps your search will end at this meet. When the local community comes together, hopefully we’ll learn and discover new things.

There will be hot ’n cold drinks and pizzas on the house. Please RSVP responsibly. It’ll help avoid food wastage (or shortage). If you have any questions, we’re happy to answer on the Facebook event page. Alternately, catch us on Twitter or on our website.

Who are we?

We are web designer-developers who have worked with multiple content management systems over the last 5 years to build publications big and small.
