Co-creating a Common Wealth Society: Land for people

You are welcome to join us for a short practical lecture with Q&A, which will start with some soup and bread.

Martin will share examples of the Community Land Trust national demonstration project as well as the farm land trust projects. He will also touch on the Scottish Land reform act.

He will share the following benefits and opportunities:

  • funding model
  • ownership and legal structures
  • getting land

Martin Large is on a learning and lecture tour inquiring into ‘common wealth’ community initiatives, civic projects and social businesses. He is a former academic, business consultant, publisher with Hawthorn Press, he is the founder of the UK Biodynamic Land Trust and a director of Stroud (UK) Common Wealth Ltd which enables co-op, cultural and social businesses e.g. community land trusts. He has published the following books: Social Ecology (1981); Set Free Childhood (2002); Futures that Work (2003), Common Wealth (2010).
