Co-design a Living Room on Dudley High Street

One year ago 28 local people transformed an unused office space in Dudley into an Inspiration Lab. Since then the space has been brought to life with hundreds of connections being made through Trade School classes, co-working sessions, Lightning Talks, Learning Labs, the Detectorists Collective, TED talk screenings and more.

While the Lab space is really flexible, in 2018 we'd like to re-design it to become a more cosy space for projects, learning sessions, film screenings or simply an inviting room for people to connect over a cuppa. We'll rename it the Living Room, and it will connect through from the friendly and cosy coffee shop space at gather which people of all ages love.

Join us to bring your ideas and experience so that we can hand craft this evolving space, re-using and upcycling all sorts of objects and materials. We'll make mood boards, share inspiration from places we know, and make plans to create a public living room for people of all ages to use for making, learning, working, playing and collaborating.

You can also join us for co-creation days on 20, 21 and 22 February to take part in the creation of the Living Room. You are warmly invited to contribute whenever and however you can.

This co-design session is open to everyone: all ages, all backgrounds, all circumstances. It is free to take part in. You can buy drinks and food from Gather coffee shop. If you have little ones with you feel free to bring toys, books and craft materials to keep them occupied too.
