Computation Club: What next?

location Unboxed | 6:30 PM-8:30 PM Tuesday 21 November 2017 (GMT)

Are you interested in computation? Would you like to learn about it in a friendly and encouraging environment? If so, this would the perfect time to jump in and attend a meeting.

We've just finished our most recent project (a book about type systems) and now it's time for something new. We'd like you to be a part of that! This meeting will be everyone's opportunity to put their ideas forward and suggest what the club should do next.

For context, you can check out the things we've done in the past on our website. At present, we meet every couple of weeks in an informal setting. We eat snacks, discuss things as a group and generally have a nice time. Anyone is welcome to attend.

If you'd like to come along, it'd be great if you think beforehand about a topic you'd enjoy. That might be broad, like "I'd like to learn about algorithms" or it could be specific, like "I'd like the club to read the first half of this book". During the meeting, we'll discuss these ideas and vote on our favourites.

You can also introduce yourself before the meeting, if you'd like, by joining our Slack channel. There's a #whats-next room dedicated to this discussion. If you have any questions, someone will be happy to help out.

We hope to see you there!

(This meeting will be hosted at Unboxed on 17 Blossom Street. You can ring the buzzer to enter. Unfortunately, this venue is not accessible.)
