I AM HERE features 98 pieces of jewellery by European makers from over five decades, starting with pieces from the most radical era of modern jewellery making, the New Jewellery movement in the 1970’s. It tells a story of jewellery through the work held by the public collections of the Crafts Council and mima, and commercial gallery collections of Galerie Marzee, Gallery S O and Pangolin London.

At the event you’ll be welcomed by Crafts Council who will introduce the exhibition and host a session where you’ll get the chance to handle unique pieces of jewellery and other objects from our handling collection.

The Crafts Council is the UK development agency for craft. Our goal is to make the UK the best place to make, see, collect and learn about contemporary craft.

The exhibition will close at 8:00 pm at which point we invite you to join us for a drink around the corner at The Gloucester Arms, 34 Gloucester Rd, Kensington, London SW7 4RB.

Over the last year, we’ve had people attend Drinks Thing from all kinds of jobs: publishing, animation, digital, tech, start up, museums, heritage, science and more. This is an event for anyone that wants to meet with interesting people in London.

Follow @DrinksThing on Twitter to keep up-to-date with our monthly free events.

We hope to see you there, Mar @mardixon, Will @w_stanley & Crafts Council @CraftsCouncilUK
