Meal at World Service in Nottingham to celebrate Dave
Don’t send this to Dave, as we may use the page to discuss secretive arrangements…
We will have the restaurant’s ‘Tallard’ room from 1pm until 5pm, if we want it. I am going to request that we eat at 2pm to enable people coming from afar to arrive in time. I have specified 12 people for now, but they can accommodate up to 16. More info here.
More details will be added to this page as necessary, so please check back or ask a question in the comments below.
There will be an opportunity for you to sign Dave’s book if you can make it before 1pm.
I expect we’ll arrange for someone to say a few words, but we’re not yet sure who or what.
If you cannot make it to lunch but would like to join us later on, please do not click attending on this event but let us know in the comments below. We have the room till 5, but we could always choose to leave it. World Service has a more relaxed seating area (including outdoors) and I expect it will be relatively quiet. There are also many bars nearby if people want to stick around or make further arrangements. If anybody wishes to stay in Nottingham the night after (or before), and to pay less than the cost of lunch, you could use the University’s visitor accommodation.
