Freelancer Focus is a new lunchtime event at The Skiff.
There’s a huge amount of knowledge about the business side of freelancing locked away in our heads. We think it would be great to get this knowledge out in the open to help us all improve our businesses. To this end, Jon and I are starting a new lunchtime discussion group.
The idea is simple - freelancers get together for lunch at The Skiff, and discuss a topic about freelancing as part of it. There is no right or wrong answer, just lots of different ways of viewing the same topic.
The outcome - we all learn about a topic we think we might know about, and get to talk to people we might not otherwise meet. Maybe it will help us a little. Maybe it will give us an insight that will revolutionise our business. Also, we’ll be writing up some of the discussion for The Skiff website to help lots of other freelancers, and help people learn about the great community here.
Our first topic is “Broad or deep - better to be a Jack of all trades or the Master of One?”
We’ll be meeting in The Bridge on Tuesday 11th November, from 12.30-2pm. Bring your own grub.
If you’re interested in joining in the discussion, please sign up here.
