Git workshop

Bonjour Hacksmiths!

Firstly we would like to thank Christophe for the great talk last Thursday, we hope you enjoyed it and that you learned how to master your life using only plain text. :)

John Stevenson of SalesForce & Heroku is our next speaker! He has agreed to come and speak about git: a very powerful and extremely popular version control platform. Some of you might already know how to use it. If you do, you should still come, John will show some cool techniques to integrate it with Heroku as well as some other useful tricks. If you never used it before, don't worry about it, you will learn everything you need to know during this hour. In our honest opinion, git is probably the number 1 tool in the list of tools every developer should master, so definitely important stuff! 20 members already formally registered to the society through the SU! Woooohoooo! We're very excited about that, we have big plans for December and we'll keep you posted. :)

As a side note, six Hacksmiths members went to a hackathon last weekend, built something cool and spread the Hacksmiths word, well done!

Don't forget to sign up to our mailing list, and to register to the society!

See you on Thursday!
