Global Health Night Out: Unmet Needs for Global Surgical Care 



Announcing the NEW DATE of the next Global Health Night Out - Wednesday, April 4th at 6:30pm!

Join us for dinner and this fantastic opportunity for students, trainees, and faculty to mingle, discuss current topics in global health and get to know our colleagues from across campus doing interesting work!

For the third session of the year we will focus on the global surgery movement and the challenges of providing safe surgery in resource-limited settings.

The resident session leaders will be: Ali Kamran (Emergency Medicine) and Matt Fleming (Surgery). To view/download the articles that we will be discussing, please visit -

Faculty Experts for the session are: Kevin Pei (Trauma) and Doruk Ozgediz (Pediatric Surgery), both of whom are involved in surgical capacity building in Uganda.
