Global Health Night Out is back - Thursday July 6th at 630PM!
As always this is an opportunity for students, trainees, and faculty to mingle, discuss current topics in global health and get to know our colleagues from across campus doing interesting work!
Dinner will be served.
For the first session of the new year we are excited to welcome back Dr. Andres Barkil-Oteo (Psychiatry). Andres has spent the past several months working with MSF in Greece providing mental health services to refugees from the wars in Iraq and Syria. The focus will be on discussion of the key mental health issues arising from war and displacement, the challenges of providing mental health services in these unstable environments as well as more general issues about humanitarian health and working with humanitarian NGOs like Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF).
Session leaders will be: Nikhil Gupta (PSY) & Jordan Sloshower (PSY)
