Hacksmiths #6: Web Audio

location Goldsmiths University of London | 5:30 PM-10 PM Thursday 13 November 2014 (GMT)

It's like Max/MSP, but with more Javascript

Hola Hacksmiths,

This week, Hugh of Hacksmiths fame will hold a workshop on the Web Audio API. Bring your browsers, you're in for a dynamically typed ride!

I'll be going into how the web audio graph works, how signal flows through it, and how to model things like basic subtractive synthesizers. I'll also introduce Meyda, an audio feature extraction library specifically tailored for use with the web audio API.

And as if that weren't enough for you, we're hosting the London emacs Meetup afterwards (from 7:00pm)! They'll be bringing their "forceps and the brain washing equipment!!!" so come prepared to see even more awesome emacs fun things. We may at some stage get someone in to talk about vim, just for balance.

See you there you rascals!

NAB 314, same as ever :)
