Hacksmiths #7: Go

GoLang - an introduction

Hello Hacksmiths,

This week, Robin Johnson will come and talk about Go. Robin writes:

The Go programming language has been increasing in popularity since it’s announcement in 2009. It has now risen to prominence, alongside languages like Node and Ruby. But what is Go? Why all the hype? In this talk, I hope to introduce you to the language. I will take you through key features of the language, key concepts, and even compare the language to other common languages. There will be code, concepts, benchmarking, and even some hacking!

If you’ve ever thought about looking into Go, come along to see this talk - you won’t regret it!

Bring your laptops, try and download (the go developer tools)[http://golang.org] in advance, and get ready to hack! Looking forward to seeing you all there :)
