Help science students get jobs in advertising
The industry needs more people with scientific minds. Too few STEM students apply for jobs in advertising.
(STEM = science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
In September, the IPA will launch a campaign to attract STEM students to careers in advertising. We’ve done the research and written the brief. But we need you to help us come up with the campaign idea.
So please join us for a workshop on the evening of Tuesday 4th August. Our mission for the workshop is to come up with an idea that’s going to make STEM students feel like advertising is a career for them.
The workshop will start at 6pm and finish at 10pm. It will be facilitated by Matt Weatherall. You don’t need to do any prep. Just turn up and be awesome (TUBA).
It will be fun, experimental, creative, challenging. You’ll meet new folks. You’ll be helping students join the wonderful world of advertising. There will be beer and enough Post-it notes to disguise an elephant as a piñata.
