Lunch & Learn with Pete Bethune | Earthrace

location Pixel Fusion | 12 PM-1 PM Friday 09 March 2018 (NZDT)

Join us for a Pixel Fusion Lunch & Learn special event with conservationist, Captain Pete Bethune, speaking on ‘Saving the World’s Endangered Wildlife’.

Our Lunch & Learn was originally crafted to provide opportunities for the team to share their Professional Development learnings (over pizza of course). It has since evolved into a space that encourages sharing throughout our community of a wide variety of topics.

For this special Lunch & Learn we are honoured to have Captain Pete Bethune, Conservationist & World Record Breaker, who closed for 2017 TEDX Auckland, to talk on ‘Saving the World’s Endangered Wildlife’.

He has been shot at several times, incarcerated in Libya, held under armed guard in a Guatemalan Military camp, and has circled the globe four times on what became the World’s Highest Profile powerboat.

Today Pete runs a team of former Special Forces Operatives and they assist countries in Africa, Asia and Central America in dealing with wildlife poaching, wildlife smuggling and illegal fishing by foreign vessels. He also works closely with government enforcement units, training them in coastal and offshore surveillance, and hostile vessel takedown.
