Making Land Work: a training event

location St Luke's Community Centre | 10 AM-5 PM Saturday 13 June 2015 (GMT)

A training workshop for land-based social enterprises

Are you part of a community group or social enterprise that is managing, or considering managing, land? Maybe you’re running a local woodland, maybe you are an ambitious food growing project. You might be part of a Transition Town or other similar group that wants to do something productive with land in your local area. This event is open to all land-based social enterprises and will be a brilliant opportunity to meet like-minded people doing exciting things!

This free, one day, workshop on Saturday 13th June will:

  • introduce the basics that any community land project needs to know
  • share stories of successful land-based social enterprises
  • share useful concepts and practical tools that participants can take back to their projects

It will be a fun and interactive event with plenty of opportunity to meet and talk to other land-based social enterprise practitioners as well as time to reflect on your own project and its development. Places are limited to 30 people so book now to secure your place!

Comments from previous training workshops include:

  • "The best part was the sheer amount of knowledge that was shared and the expertise, insight and delivery of the facilitators."
  • “Friendly, interesting and well organised”
  • “Thought provoking and a great range of knowledge”
  • “Great sharpening of focus for us”

Thanks to the support of the Tudor Trust, Shared Assets has been able to provide free support to over 30 land-based social enterprises over the past two years. This event represents the culmination of that work and the Tudor Trust’s support - we are looking forward to sharing what we have learned with a wide range of practitioners.
