Customise the PLEN2 with Fusion 360!
“Our aim is to open up the relationship between humans and technology through printable and open-source robot kit, ”PLEN2”. We do not believe that robots should replace people but that they should complement our abilities. We strongly believe that scientific technology can enrich everyone in society if we embrace it in a positive manner."
Created by the PLEN Project Committee in Osaka, Japan, the smartphone compatible open source robot can carry small objects, roller skate, dance, play soccer, or even drive around in its own ‘mini car’.
What's more, PLEN2 is a 3D printable desktop robot you can put together yourself. You do not need any technical knowledge and special tools; all you need to build this robot is just a screwdriver.
If you're attending MozFest on Saturday 7th November 2015, between 10:30 AM and 17:30 PM head over to the GARAGE area of the Global Village where you can build and customise your own PLEN2 during the workshop hosted by Wevolver and AutoDesk.
Participants will also learn how to use Fusion 360 for 3D Printing and the PLEN Project Committee have provided some amazing prizes for the top three PLEN2 hackers.
1st Prize: Control Boards & Servo-motors Set (Worth $549)
2nd Prize: Main Control Board (Arduino Compatible)
3rd Prize: Offical Key Holder & Stickers
Don't miss the chance to win!
