100 years after the Russian Revolution, we find ourselves at a critical political crossroads. After decades of neoliberal austerity politics, perpetual war and economic crisis, people are ready for a contemporary political vision for this century.
Telekommunisten will retrace Lenin's journey from Zurich to St. Petersburg, meeting with comrades along the way with whom we can build a new international alliance.
Our intention is to retrieve and recontextualize the aspirations of the revolution still resonating in our cultures and politics today, and extrapolate the lessons and prospects for socialist, internationalist anti-imperialist politics in today’s world. We want to reexamine the techno-utopianism of Marx, Lenin and those they inspired, taking due account of the successes and failures as we rework speculative social science fictions and materialist political agendas for the 21st century.
We are calling for a renewal of hope and optimism. If we organize and work together we can confront injustice and oppression and build a new world free of the chains of the old.
Come and share your vision! We want to hear from you!
We ask for your email address so that we and the attendees have a way of contacting you.
