Edtech Season - The Link Between Cats, Games & Education

The London-based EdTech Accelerator, Emerge Education, in partnership with Eton College and Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, are organising the Edtech Season. It consists of 10 events and will be running from March until April (more about the other events here). This event is organised together with LEGup

Three years and 900 members: LEGup has lots of celebrate and we hope you can come and join us at our third birthday party as part of the 'Edtech Season'. We've picked a hitherto unexplored theme in games and education for our party this year: cats!

Were you unaware of the strong link between cats, games and education? Well  allow us to enlighten you: Jo Twist, CEO of UKIE, will be taking a break from the serious business of representing the UK games industry to tell us about her love of both cats and games. Ben Whately, COO of Memrise, will be telling us how cats help people learn languages using Memrise's unique Cat Spanish app, as well as introducing us to his new initiative, CatAcademy. Rob Davis from Playniac will be leading us all in a game of Cat on Yer Head: a game about making better games.

Come prepared to catch mice! We'll also be catching up with various members of the #LEGup community, new and old, who will share their stories about how things have developed over the past three years.
