Spotlight Speaker

This one is a treat. Austin Mann will provide a 18 minute talk on how to present your work in front of the world.

Austin Mann is best known as a Travel photographer and an Apple iPhone photographer. He is also the facilitator of Weld, which is arguably the best co-working site for creative professionals in Dallas and most recently Nashville.

The actual reviews are the main event. You will meet with a group review of your choice and get your portfolio reviewed.

Portfolio reviews are important because it gives us real view on look on how your book perceived.

Why not let anyone review your book? Well it is all about targeting. While your mother/significant other may love your book, a seasoned creative director may have other suggestions. After all We don’t want to hurt the ones we love with our honest feedback. A third party doesn’t have that restrain. She sees the book as it is. The keyword here is that she’s able to see your portfolio objectively. Objectively is the keyword.

Constructive feedback is one of the most powerful tools to transform a weak portfolio to one that is amazing. And amazing portfolio lead to amazing opportunities!

So bring your book! Or your laptop! All skill levels are welcome. The Behance Portfolio Review is open to all creative fields.

We’ll award top portfolios with a Behance Appreciation coins and one lucky top winner will receive a Creative Cloud yearly membership (a $600 value). Did I mention that the event is completely free?

Among the Group reviewers are:

•Austin Mann

•Justin Adu

Free beer (for those 21 and over) and snacks are provided on the first come, first get basis. The space will give you plenty of opportunity to shake hands and exchange business cards. After all hustling is how we get ahead.

If that sounds great, awesome! please sign on. Again it’s completely free and pretty much risk free.
